EcoDrive is a Ukrainian magazine about eco-innovations, electric cars, electric transportation, infrastructure renewable energy sources, modern gadgets and eco- friendly technologies.
It is unusual in that it covers the whole range of eco- trends and helps navigate in the new world powered by clean energy.

Oleksii Pohorielov, Editor-in-Chief, EcoDrive:

How would you briefly characterize the situation with the e-car market in Ukraine today?

Briefly speaking, it is growing. Both the number of e-cars and the number of charging stations is growing, as well as the load per station. That is, more and more people are using the e-cars. This growth takes place mostly in the capital and four largest cities: Kyiv is leading and is followed by Kharkiv and Odesa, and then Lviv and Dnipro.

Please tell us about your magazine

The EcoDrive Magazine is published quarterly since 2018. We have already issued ten issues, and each of them is a whole collection of ideas for development, insights, useful analysis. Apart from the magazine, we are actively developing such formats as conferences, exhibitions, and discussions.

Who are you writing for?

Our audience is people with certain values. They are innovative, progressive; they like cars and drive, care about the environment and children, think about the future. They can plan, and they value reliable partners. And prefer professionalism.

What is the mission of your magazine?

We contribute to the development of electromobility in Ukraine and make all efforts for it to be exciting. Our mission is to help other people to live and work in the Eco-style while getting drive from life and business. We struggle to be an efficient platform for the exchange of ideas, opinions, and partnerships inside the great e-car community.

In what way does your magazine promote Ukraine's progress towards 100% clean energy?

We have already become a platform for collaboration between players from adjacent markets – those of electric vehicles, infrastructure for e-vehicles (charge and service stations and more), new (clean) energy, information technologies, financial services, and startups. And we develop our activities in such a way that due to our work, the business could be of more benefit to people, gain more, develop our Ukraine, and do that in an environment-friendly manner.

Abilities is a modern magazine that exists in social networks, and every day tells stories about clean energy and the new world. Its journalists keep themselves informed about signal events and inventions in the RES area, inform about the progress of communities, companies, cities, and countries towards 100% RES, and monitor the ecological condition of Ukraine and the world.
They are interesting for how thoroughly they select news that have the most significant impact on the life of Ukraine and of the planet.

Mitia Khopta, Editor-in-Chief, Abilities:

What is a situation with the RES market in Ukraine today?

Perhaps, this is the most acute phase of the conflict between the past and the future, the conventional and the renewable energy sources. The traditional ones try to take revenge, but, anyway, they have had their day. Local attempts to stop time and prevent RES expansion will not be able to resist the power of the global trend. Therefore, we all need, despite the resistance, to hold on and to move, step by step, to 100% RES.

Abilities is about opportunities. Opportunities that the new world opens to us. These are clean and potentially free energy from renewable sources, overcoming climate change, cleaning up the planet from harmful waste… Every day we publish stories about the world's progress towards 100% RES, decarbonization, and environment on the website abilities.solar and project's Facebook and Instagram pages. The project was launched and inspired by the KNESS Group.

Who are you writing for?

For Ukrainians who look ahead, into the future, and understand that each one of us is responsible both for our country and for our planet. Because it is billions of everyday habits, eyes shut, mindless actions that contributed to the climate crisis.

What is the mission of your magazine?

To remind about what matters most every day. Because current issues should not distract us from the really important things – in the maximum, global scale. It is the global survival, it is the reflection on what we will leave to the future generations.

In what way does your magazine promote Ukraine's progress towards 100% clean energy?

Our job is to pave a path to 100% RES in the Ukrainian information space. We demonstrate the positive experience and actions of other countries; we disseminate achievements of Ukrainians in the area of RES and environment, we fill a small but important sector of the media space with the content which constantly reminds about the issues of development and future. They should not get lost among today's problems. In addition to the Abilities project, our media group, Sunwalkers studio, creates a series of documentaries titled "Light Energy," performs modeling of the energy sector development, and participates in civil sector events dedicated to the RES and environment.

Kosatka.Media is a professional resource with the slogan "All energy sector in one click". It positions itself as an energy info hub that offers high-quality energy market analysis, covers global trends, gives the floor to energy market players and experts, and develops a database on energy markets in Ukraine and around the world.
They are interesting for the constant and fundamental coverage of the most important events on the energy market.

What is a situation with the RES market in Ukraine today?

The situation with RES in Ukraine today may be described with three words – lack of balance. On the one hand, we have green generation that is actively developing and becomes a powerful player on the electric power market. On the other hand, all other types of generation that deal with issues of their survival and development. That is why the market today looks like a large shared apartment whose tenants ignore each other or are fighting when their common walls are collapsing, and water is dripping from the ceiling. Everyone could live better, but they do not want to find a common language. The situation is aggravated by the fact that the current energy strategy is only marginally linked to the economic development strategy. Nobody understands where our energy sector is heading and what it will look like in 20-30 years.
